Some people are pretty bad when it comes to estimating distances. This and driving is not a good combination. I was driving on 35, going home, traveling about 60mph. I see a group of cars stopped about 150ft away and these cars were trying to merge into the other lane becuase the car ahead of them had their hazards lights on. So this car judges my speed very poorly. The car pulls into my lane at about 5 mph and my car is traveling at 60mph. Given the distance of about 150 ft, a car can travel that in a matter of seconds. Me slamming on the brakes, tires screeching, car swerving sums up what I did in the next 3 secs. I was pissed..I almost rear ended this person for what? so the driver can save some seconds in going home? its nonsense i tell you.

It's kinda funny how there are "bends" in people's lives. Unpredictabilty can/will always occur. Tonight we faced many of these BANGS(i will use "bang" to describe these moments).

Tonight's first stop was AMC 1000 in what was supposed to be a free screening. Apparently the theater was aware of this information, but decided not to partake in it. So our chances for a free movie was shut down. Nothing else could go wrong, right?

Around 9, we decided to go eat dinner. Our choices was between this hip noodle house or a Thai cusine. Glancing at the menu i realized the prices were not bad considering it is dinner so we ventured to this Thai House. After getting settled, we realized the prices were only good through lunch and that the dinner prices were not bad, but not what we expected to spend. We tried to cheat the system by ordering less, but our plans were foiled when we saw that there was a standard charge per person. Needless to say, we spent a little more than what we wanted to.

I don't mind that these events occured cause in the end, the adventure we had was priceless.

This night was eventful enough to make it to the journal and warn you of shady restaurants.

Well, death has been creeping on my family lately. After my grandpa passed away, I recently found out that my grandma's sister was in the hospital and that her husband has also passed away. This was about 1-2wks ago. My parents decided to to go up to Canada and visit my relatives..Today i found out that my grandma's sister also passed away..so what can i say. Don't worry guys and gals, im doing fine. :p On to brighter things..

Studying at the beach..hah what a oxymoron. It did not work for me at all..i was too restless to sit still and do anything..had to run around, like a dog or something, but i had a blast. Man, we gotta go more. Today, i was reminded once again of how beautiful people are. Treating a group of friends to go eat is certainly priceless. I felt unworthy of the lunch, but it was a great time! Thanks frank!

VBS 2004!

At first i didnt wanna do VBS again this year. i felt that VBS got kinda old and i should explore other ministries. Up to today, i still felt that way about it, but then i went to the meeting. even though i walked in the middle of it..i saw the video, kids playing, having fun, learning about the Bible..i realized these kids need help to be guided on the right path. The meeting also reminded me of how fun VBS is and that there is a need for more males this year. so with that said. GO VBS!!!

Reading Cyrus' LJ showed me that LJ's werent as useless as i thought they were. so in that, im going to put some prayer requests:

Concentration in School- I dont study during the weekends at all and i hardly read or do any work..there are times when im a super student, but usually i take the lazy route.

40 Day Fast- I fasting on not being late. i think its a perfect fast for me cause im usually late and wasting God's time.

VBS- Pray for the kids who are signing up for it.

Well..it looks like im back at home. Got home early this morning. The plane rides were terrible...going there i had no leg room and the tv i was watching was kinda broken. Coming back..even as fast as it was, was boring and annoying. Kinda funny, but alvina's dad was the co pilot on my flight back. When i got there, it seemed like i would be there forever, but as time drew near..i felt i wasnt there enough? Hmmm..the funeral was sad, but there is a time to let go and be joyous of the event. Bought some random stuff and got some random hk snacks like the illegal lychee jelly cups! hahaha..what a find!. But nevertheless the trip was fun..now im back to school :/ what a shame.

Oh man, winter retreat was way too cool. the comment paper was great. looking at it just makes me smile even though some of are jokes or i hope are jokes :d.
